In Greater Birmingham, the Bold Path Fellowship connects emerging entrepreneurs with resources, relationships, and support available through the region's growing business and innovation ecosystem.
Greater Birmingham offers a growing environment for entrepreneurs, with measurable gains in venture-backed startups, minority-owned businesses, and jobs created by small businesses.
With more than eight postsecondary institutions, including the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Miles College, and Lawson State Community College, the metro area offers educational resources and workforce pipelines that support business growth. About 25,000 small businesses operate locally, and city-backed programs have distributed more than $6 million in loans and grants.
Local collaboration is central to the Fellowship's place-based approach. Our strategic partner, Prosper, helps the Fellowship build relationships with Greater Birmingham community members and gather feedback so the program reflects local needs and opportunities.
